From Burnout to breakthrough: My Journey With Human Design

🚨 Living in Burnout Can Feel Like a Normal Life

For years, I ignored the warning signs of burnout. I was successful on paper — thriving in my therapy practice, constantly giving to others — but inside, I felt depleted and emotionally distant from myself.

I now understand this as a classic misalignment with my energy type: I’m a Projector, and I was operating like a Generator, overextending myself in ways that were unsustainable.

My sharing this journey underscores the importance of self-discovery and the transformative power of Human Design. By understanding and honoring our unique designs, we can lead more authentic and fulfilling lives.

💡 Human Design: The Blueprint That Changed Everything

When I dove into Human Design, it was like being handed a permission slip to be who I actually am.

I learned that Projectors thrive in spacious, intimate settings (especially 1:1) — not in the hustle culture I had been trapped in. Understanding my energy blueprint helped me reset my boundaries and shift how I approached work, relationships, and rest.

🧠 Emotional Intelligence: From Suppressed to Superpower

Another game-changer was reframing my emotional depth as a gift, not a burden. As someone with an Emotional Authority, I had long resisted my feelings, labeling them as “too much” and trying to control my up’s and down’s.

Now, I see emotional intelligence as one of my greatest assets—not only in decision-making, but in supporting my clients to navigate their own emotional landscapes.

🔄 Deconditioning: The Path Back to Self

So much of the healing journey is about deconditioning — unlearning the beliefs, behaviors, and societal standards that never belonged to us in the first place. Honoring who we truly are and letting go of all we are not.

Whether it’s perfectionism, people-pleasing, or pushing past your body’s signals, deconditioning through the lens of Human Design allows you to come back to the truth of who you are.
